It is quite likely we will do a further cruise in early 2017. We are considering 6 alternative itineraries – all starting from Sydney. Subject to sufficient interest we would choose from one of the following 6 cruises.
- late January 2017 Tasmania – 8 nights – visiting Hobart, Adelaide and Melbourne – estimated cruise/conference cost from $1400-$1500
- mid February 2017 – South Pacific – 8 nights – visiting Nouméa, Mystery Island, Lifou – estimated cruise/conference cost from $1500-$1600
- early March 2017 – South Pacific – 10 nights – visiting Nouméa, Mystery Island, Lifou, Vila – estimated cruise/conference cost from $1500-$1600
- mid March 2017 – South Pacific – 11 nights – visiting Suva, Lautoka, Lifou, Noumea – estimated cruise/conference cost from $1800-$1900
- early April 2017 – South Pacific – 13 nights – visiting Nouméa, Lifou, Mystery Island, Lautoka, Suva, Isle of Pines – estimated cruise/conference cost from $2100-$2200
- mid April 2017 – Brisbane to Hong Kong – 18 nights – a one way relocation cruise (see itinerary below map)
estimated cruise/conference cost from $2300-$2400
(note this Asian cruise option was originally listed as Sydney to Singapore – but the cruise we had in mind is now unavailable to us due to prior booking of the conference centre by another group)
All cruise candidates are on Royal Caribbean ships, now well-established as the best conferencing ships.
Whatever cruise is chosen we will have a team of leading international presenters for another great conference at sea. Unlike previous cruises, we will probably run a single stream program throughout, with no sessions scheduled during days we are in port.
Tell us if you are – or may be – interested
To help us decide if there is sufficient interest to offer the cruise – and which preference to choose – please tell us your preferences with our current cruise survey.
Click here to do the short survey. In appreciation of your response we are offering AU$10 DISCOUNT off any one order of AU$20 or more from Genealogy ebooks – for completed survey submissions by 31 October 2015.
Brisbane to Hong Kong itinerary (one of 6 candidate itineraries we are considering). Here is the itinerary for Legend of the Seas – if a 2017 cruise goes ahead and this ends up as the preferred option. Early responses to the survey suggest this is the preferred cruise, but this can change if enough people favour other options.
