Else Churchill (England)
Else is the Genealogist at the Society Genealogists in London and a former member of the Lord Chancellor’s Advisory Council on National Records and Archives. With over 30 years’ experience as a genealogical teacher and researcher Else has given workshops and presentations for family historians in the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Portugal as well in the UK and Ireland and has spoken on several cruises. She writes a regular column for Your Family Tree Magazine, contributes to various genealogical magazines and print media in the UK and Australia and edits genealogical reference works and distance learning materials. Else compiled the Next Steps articles for the Family History section of the BBC website and has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Making History and Women’s Hour as well as the popular UK and US TV shows Who Do You Think You Are? and Find My Past. Having researched her own family history to 1680s Herefordshire, she can at last confirm she is not related to Winston Churchill.
