Genealogy
Lots of genealogists and a fantastic range of topics for beginners to more advanced researchers!
Expect to learn lots about genealogical research from the great team of presenters and the others participating in the conference. Apart from the 40-60 formal presentations on a major cruise, you can have individual discussions in the Research Help Zone with a presenter about your research problem areas – a great opportunity to break down some brick walls.
General cruise program
Relax beside the pool or delve into books in the library, try your hand at a trivia quiz, go ice skating or rock climbing, play tennis or golf, have a massage, or go to the gym. There are options available for those who just want to find a quiet place right through to those feeling much more energetic.
In the evenings there is a variety of entertainment available. Contemporary musical productions, specialty acts, ice shows, acrobatic displays – each ship has a different program designed for your enjoyment. You may prefer to listen to live music or visit one of the themed pubs or lounges, the choice is yours.
The real question is how to pack in all the things you want to do as well as attend the conference program.
Meals
So many options and not enough time to try them all. The conference group is allocated seating in the formal dining area where you can sit and chat over a delicious meal with other genealogists – what better to do? There are specialty dining areas as well which you might want to try for a more intimate and romantic setting. For those interested in something more informal try one of the buffet cafes where you can choose from a great range of meals and enjoy sea views as you relax and eat with your friends.
… then there are the shore tours . Read all about them here.
