I live in Brisbane and would love a 3 to 5 day cruise out of here, not necessarily going into international waters, as that would mean I would have to get a passport, which I do not have. Plus I am also on a disability pension and would not be able to afford an expensive cruise.
I also live in Brisbane, and am disappointed by the cruise programme for both this and forthcoming years.
This year there will be no fewer than two cruises which both start and finish in Sydney.
The sixth cruise, still mentioned on the website, was supposed to be a seven day Barrier Reef cruise from Brisbane, but this idea appears to have been abandoned in favour of having a second cruise for the year from Sydney.
There has been no explanation why, but as usual Sydney has been the beneficiary, and there appears to be nothing on the horizon.
The seventh cruise, which will be very convenient for those in Perth, but of course of maximum inconvenience to those of us in the capital and state most distant from Fremantle, looks to be going ahead.
The proposed cruise for early 2016, apart from being lengthy at 12 to 14 days, is probably odds-on to have Sydney as either the starting or finishing point, if not both. If it starts or finishes in New Zealand, of course, a passport would also be required.
I enjoy a trip with a purpose and one which has talks on specific topics as do these tours. I have always wanted to travel down the Rhine so that is a tip I would like. also a trip around England and Ireland. I cannot go on the one in 2014. Trip around parts of Australia would also be interesting as the flight cost would not be so great.
